Kevin Hart Gets Candid About His ‘Tough Year’
Last night, Kevin Hart and his “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” co-stars made a grand entrance to the movie's premiere in a jungle-style jeep!
Kevin spoke with “Extra's” Mario Lopez and his daughter Gia, talking about the movie, his new baby boy Kenzo, and the tough year he has had after being embroiled in a cheating scandal.
Hart was happy to see Gia, gushing, “This is the interview I am most excited about.”
When Gia asked the what the comedian wants Santa to bring him this year and if he's been naughty or nice, Kevin replied, “That's definitely a tough question for Kevin Hart right now. It was a tough year for me. I had some bumps in the road but the good thing is you take steps backwards to take great steps forwards so now, I recovered from some not nice times, now what I basically want is just for Santa to know that I'm doing good and I'm doing better — I'm a good guy.”
Three weeks ago, Hart recently welcomed a baby boy, Kenzo, with his wife Eniko. Though he says he's a good daddy, Kevin had no problem admitting he doesn't change diapers, admitting, “Oh, no. Not on my new baby. Not on Kenzo, on my older babies I did and I had tough times doing it, with a newborn it's very tough, they're fragile, they need a mother's touch, that's not a father's time, so I said, '... don't tag me in till me and the baby are on terms of 'Stop!' and he can listen to that; I don't want to deal with that new, new.'”
He also revealed his favorite part of filming “Jumanji,” commenting, “We got to do a movie that already had a big following, people loved it and it had such an amazing actor in the first one, Robin Williams and we wanted to make sure that we paid homage to the late, great Robin Williams… The small hints and winks that we did to Robin Williams that I think people are going to love, that's my favorite part.”
"Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" opens in theaters on Dec. 20.
