Donald Trump, Jorge Ramos Hit the Morning Shows to Discuss Confrontation
On Tuesday night, Donald Trump made headlines again after booting Mexican-American anchor Jorge Ramos from a press conference for asking a question out of turn.
The Donald told Jorge, "Sit down, you weren't called. Go back to Univision."
When Jorge was being escorted out by security following his exchange with Trump, he said, “Don't touch me, sir. Don't touch me. I have the right to ask a question.” He was eventually allowed to return to the press conference and ask two questions.
This morning, The Donald discussed the confrontation with "Today's" Matt Lauer, saying of Ramos, "He was totally out of line last night. I was asking and being asked a question from another reporter. I would have gotten to (Ramos) very quickly. He stood up and started ranting and raving like a madman."
Ramos explained his side of the story to ABC's George Stephanopoulos on “Good Morning America," saying, “He was in control of the press conference. It is very clear with his body language that he was giving orders, and I did wait for my turn. You know how it is in those press conferences. Two reporters before me asked a question and then I said, 'I have a question on immigration.' He didn't say anything. I stood up. I started my question. He didn't like my question and when he didn't like my question then he motioned so the one security guard would come where I was and then threw me out of the press conference.”
