Macaulay Culkin’s Heartbreaking Tribute to Catherine O’Hara

On Friday, Hollywood was rocked by the sudden death of “Schitt’s Creek” star Catherine O’Hara’s at 71.
Many of her co-stars, including Macaulay Culkin, Pedro Pascal and Justin Theroux, took to social media to remembered her.
Culkin, who played O’Hara’s son in the “Home Alone” movies, wrote in the form of a poem on Instagram, “Mama. I thought we had time. I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you. But I had so much more to say. I love you. I’ll see you later.”
In 2023, O’Hara was on hand for Culkin’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony.
On his special day, she said, “Thank you for including me, your fake mom who left you home alone not once, but twice, to share in this happy occasion. I’m so proud of you.”
Pedro, who worked with Catherine on “The Last of Us,” wrote, “Oh, genius to be near you. Eternally grateful. There is less light in my world, this lucky world that had you, will keep you, always. Always ♥️.”

Theroux, O’Hara’s “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” co-star, posted a pic of her chair on the set, writing, “Oh Catherine. You will be so so missed."

Olivia responded to Justin's post, writing, “Absolutely heartbreaking. She was the kindest person in our business."
Amy added, “Ugggg legend. No one funnier."
Ike Barinholtz, who worked with Catherine on "The Studio," posted an Instagram pic from the TV set. He wrote, "I never in a million years thought I would get to work with Catherine O’Hara let alone become friends with her. So profoundly sad she’s somewhere else now. So incredibly grateful I got to spend the time I did with her. Thank you Catherine I love you ❤️."

Other big names to pay tribute include Rita Wilson, Constance Wu, and Andy Cohen.
Rita posted on Instagram, “Catherine O’Hara - a woman who was authentic and truthful in all she did. You saw it in her work, if you knew her you saw it in her life, and you saw it in her family. Bo, Luke and Matthew, our deepest sympathies. May Catherine rest in peace. May her memory be eternal."
Andy wrote, "Fell in love at first sight on SCTV and it only got stronger. Rest In Peace, Angel Catherine O’Hara."
Constance posted on her Instagram Story, "Truly one of the finest actors of her generation."
