Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon Breakdown 'The Bachelorette' and Talk Starting a Family
It was a night of shocking confessions on “The Bachelorette” Tuesday night — Ben revealed he has two failed suicide attempts in his past, Bennett returned, and Tayshia told Zac she loved him.
Now, “Extra’s” resident “Bachelor” expert Rachel Lindsay is bringing on Bachelor Nation fan-favorite couple Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon to break it all down.
The couple made a cameo on Tayshia’s season, and Rachel asked, “Who were impressed you with?” Ashley replied, “I remember that early on… she was already thinking Ben was a standout. So that's what she told us behind the scenes.” Iaconetti speculated, “And if I had to call it now, I would say the finale comes down to him and Zac.”
Jared added, “When the cameras were off and we started to get to these guys a little bit more… you could tell how excited they were.”
Ashely pointed out, “Ben is a big deal in last night's episode… This week we see him really open up about things that he struggled with personally.” She went on, “He's only told one person about his lows, his suicide attempts, and that's Tayshia now.”
And there was the main event for the night, Bennett vs. Noah. Rachel asked, “Were you shocked she sent Bennett home over Noah?”
Ashley said, “No, not at all… We've been Bennett fans the entire time, and it's been hard for me to transition to see his flaws.”
Jared insisted, “I'm a full supporter of Bennett here… I think this might be a good… learning lesson for Bennett to watch himself back and say… okay, maybe I took it too far a little bit.” Ashley admitted, “He comes back and says... ‘I love you.’ Which I thought was totally unbelievable. What I feel like he's feeling right now is rejection for the first time. He's a Harvard guy, he's very handsome… and, ‘I need what I can't have.’”

View StoryThe couple, who wed in 2019, also opened up to Rachel about their plans to start a family after revealing on social media they are trying to have a baby. Ashley explained why there were so open about it, “We’ve been married for a year, I’m gonna be 33 in March. I just think it’s kind of our natural progression, and Bachelor Nation loves babies, they love baby talk.” Jared said, “The pressure wasn’t just coming from Bachelor Nation, it was also coming from my mother-in-law.” Ashley laughed, saying, “That whole ‘when the ovulation is happening’ is something parents don’t understand.”
Jared added, “It’s always weird talking to my parents about it… ‘Yeah, we’re trying, so we’re having sex.’”
For now, they are doing their part to help other families, too, raising money through the #DriveHope4Kids campaign by offering fans the chance to win $50,000 cash and a fully customized Ford Bronco, all for a great cause. Jared said, “We're trying to affect the lives of kids that attend Boys & Girls Clubs in New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.” Learn more here!
