Tori Spelling Doubles Down on Support for Brian Austin Green, While Talking ‘9021OMG’ with Jennie Garth
“Beverly Hills, 90210” co-stars Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling are taking a trip down memory lane with their new podcast “90210MG.”
The actresses will look back at old episodes of the show, which ran for 10 seasons, and wrapped in 2000.
“Extra's” Rachel Lindsay caught up with the actresses, who dished on the podcast and co-star Brian Austin Green.
Tori told Rachel why she defended Brian — who is going through a breakup with wife Megan Fox — on social media, after calling him “one of the best parents I know.”
“He is! He is one of the best dads I ever met,” Spelling said. “I'm so proud of the human he's become, watching him go from a 16-year-old boy to the man he is now, and he always put his children first — we love him.”
It sounds like fans are going to love the podcast! Tori revealed they will kick things off by reminiscing about “the casting process from our perspective, like, what it was like on the first day on set.”
Rachel asked, “Are we going to hear behind-the-scenes things like, were there hookups between the cast?”
Jennie teased, “I'm waiting for Tori to answer.”
Tori joked, “You're evil, both of you!”
“Let's just put it this way,” Jennie said, “you never know what's going to come out of our mouths, so I'm pretty sure we'll say stuff we shouldn't be talking about.”
They admitted some topics will be hard to discuss, like co-star Luke Perry, who died of a stroke last year. Jennie said, “It's going to be really, really hard, actually.”
Tori added, “He had such a fun spirit and humor… He was a total jokester, and those will maybe be fun memories to share that people don't know.”
The ladies also shared how Shannen Doherty is doing as she battles stage 4 breast cancer. Jennie said, “I definitely check in from time to time. She has a really tight-knit support group.”
Tori marveled, “She's such a fighter, and her ability to be so candid and share her experience… We love her and hope to see her soon.”
The “9021OMG” podcast drops November 9.
