Kane Brown Takes Fans ‘Off the Road’ and Behind the Scenes in New Docuseries
Kane Brown is not slowing down! The country sensation is busy getting shredded, co-hosting this year's CMT Music Awards, launching a new music group, and taking on a new title: executive producer.
Brown is in front of and behind the cameras for a two-episode installment “Off the Road,” CMT's new mini documentary-style series that gives fans a candid look at the new normal for artists as the pandemic has caused their touring schedules, album launches, and career plans to shift.
The second episode Brown executive-produced focuses on the new band he is mentoring, Restless Road. Under his guidance, the guys (Zach Beeken, Colton Pack and Garrett Nichols) sign their first publishing deal and record new music.
Nichols told “Extra” just how hands-on Brown is, saying, “I think one thing people will find surprising from the show is how much of a mentor Kane truly is and how he shows up to support time after time. It's not a 'oh, hey guys' phone-it-in — he's been such a supporter of ours when it's something we want to talk through, on music or our lives.”
See Restless Road film their first music video, spend time with family, and navigate the industry in the episode airing Friday, October 16, at 5 p.m. CT across CMT's YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
Pack added, “We've missed being out on the road with everyone, and are grateful we've been able to partner with CMT to show what it's been like 'Off the Road,' from filming our music video to doing co-writes and working on our album with all that 2020 has thrown us and everyone else.”
Following the digital premiere, the episodes will premiere as a linear double feature on Saturday, October 17, at 12 p.m. ET on CMT, and will also air on MTV Live and MTVU.
