Gwyneth Paltrow & Kate Hudson Talk Worst Movie Kisses, from ‘Snot’ to ‘Brother Energy’
Actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson had a little kiss and tell session on the latest goop podcast!
The stars chatted about some of their worst movie smooches, including Kate's snotty lip lock with an A-lister and Gwyneth's kiss with an actor who felt more like a brother.
Paltrow asked Hudson who the best kisser was, and dished, "You know, I feel like I kind of haven't had the best kissers. I feel like I should have had better ones."
It turns out her kisses with “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” and “Fool's Gold” co-star Matthew McConaghey weren't great due to certain conditions.
"The thing is, every time I kiss McConaughey, it's like, I mean, it's like there's just something happening and there's like snot or wind, or things are just... like when we were kissing in the end of 'Fool's Gold,' we're, like, in the ocean, we, like, had the plane crash," she said, laughing, “He just had snot all over his face."
Gwyneth wanted to know if Matthew gave Kate “brother energy,” and she explained, "It can be a little sibling-y at times, but no..."
Paltrow, however, definitely got a brother vibe from her “Iron Man” co-star Robert Downey Jr.
She told Hudson, "Like with Robert, like, when I kissed him and I was like, 'You've got to be kidding me…' This is literally like kissing my brother."
Kate went on to reveal her best movie kiss ended up on the cutting-room floor!
"You know who was a good kisser, but you didn't see it, 'cause they cut it out? Was Billy [Crudup]," Hudson said of her “Almost Famous” co-star. "Billy was good. That was good."
Paltrow quipped, "He looked like he would be a good kisser."
On the podcast, Gwyneth event went so far as to ask Kate if she's ever secretly dated another famous person.
Kate laughed, admitting, "Oh, yeah. What do you mean? Yeah. Doesn't everybody? If they said no, they're lying. Come on... It's amazing the things you do get away with."
"I know a couple of 'em,” Gwyneth said teasingly.
