'Vanderpump Rules' Couple Jax Taylor & Brittany Cartwright Expecting First Child

On Monday, Cartwright broke the news that she was expecting with pics of her and Taylor holding a sonogram. She wrote on Instagram, “Mom & Dad. The love of our lives is coming soon. 🥰💝.”

The pics also featured Jax cradling Brittany's growing baby bump.

Taylor shared the same pics, writing, “Sooooo,........I am gonna be Dad..💟👶🏼.”

In an interview with People magazine, the pair revealed that their baby is due in April.

Of her pregnancy journey, Brittany shared, “We had been trying for around five months and we just can't wait to grow our family. I had the ovulation sticks and all the apps... we were ready to go. I woke up super early to go to the restroom and just had a feeling I should take a test and it was positive!! I cried, I laughed, we were just so happy!! Then I took three more tests and cried some more."

Cartwright, who is 11 weeks along, has been dealing with morning sickness. She revealed, “I am getting loads of morning sickness and feeling pretty tired but overall, I feel great and I am already so in love with this little baby!" she says. "Hearing the heartbeat made my heart melt. I haven't noticed any particular cravings, everything is just yummy!"

The couple are planning to have a gender reveal celebration in a few days, but do they have names in mind already? Brittany dished, “We have a name for a girl but not sure about a boy's name yet! I think I will continue to look at the baby name list until the day they are born!"

As for his impending fatherhood, Jax said, “I am really excited to be a father, my dad was my hero. He passed three years ago and I can honestly say my parents gave me the best childhood a kid could ask for. I can't wait to go to games, dance recitals, and school functions. My dad was always there for me in every way, so I am just gonna follow his playbook, say a few prayers and hopefully God willing, everything will fall into place like it did for me."

Jax is looking forward to all the milestones, saying, "I can't wait for all the school functions, sports, dance. Whatever they want to do, I want to be a part of it. I can't wait to just teach them things. I can't wait to see them grow into who they are going to be and see what they will be passionate about."

While they are based in Los Angeles, Brittany stressed the importance of instilling her Kentucky values in their kids. She explained, “I think it is very important to be close with family. We will make sure they go to Kentucky and Michigan a lot and get to know and love their family. My mom already calls me every day about her grandbaby and I just can't wait to have my own child go play on the farm I grew up on. It's going to be an amazing thing to be a mom and I couldn't be happier."
