Kane Brown Talks Getting Lost in Woods for 7 Hours and Having to Call Police
Country star Kane Brown is talking to “Extra's” Jana Kramer about life in quarantine with wife Katelyn and their baby girl Kingsley.
He's loving daddy duty with his 10-month-old, saying, “It's amazing. The quarantine sucks, but it's kind of cool, too, because I get to see her grow, got to see her two bottom teeth come… Seeing her personality change and how happy of a baby she is. When she smiles, it just melts my heart. It's been awesome.”
What has becoming a dad has taught him? “Patience.” He added, “I'm kind of like a carefree guy, like, whatever happens, happens, but with her, I'm constantly watching her, constantly telling her, 'No, don't grab that!'”
Kane and Katelyn were recently rescued by the police on their own property. “Yeah, we got lost for seven hours. We have 30 acres and it's all woods,” he revealed. “We made our own trail and then it started raining and it started getting dark and we were running out of gas… and we live by all these cliffs… We ran into a drop-off, so we ended up having to call the cops and walk down.”
He added, “Kate thought I was just trying to get out of unpacking boxes because it was literally the first day we moved in.”
He is also partnering with Crown Royal for their Purple Bag Project with a remix of his song “Homesick.”
“We have three veterans singing on the remix of my song 'Homesick,'” he said. “It's cool that it's going to be coming out literally the day, the year anniversary of when I released the song, August 5.”
He added, “For every stream that we get, we're going to give a purple bag to all the frontline workers that have been working during the pandemic.”
