Kanye Apologizes to Kim for Public Outbursts After Wild Week
UPDATE: Kanye West has formally apologized to his wife, Kim Kardashian, after a week of erratic behavior and tweeted insults. He tweeted Saturday:
I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter. I did not cover her like she has covered https://t.co/A2FwdMu0YU Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.
Reality star Kim Kardashian is reportedly struggling to get a hold of husband Kanye West.
Sources close to the couple told TMZ that they have had very little communication since he flew to South Carolina for his rally last weekend.
The sources told the outlet that Kardashian has tried to talk to Kanye about his mental health, but he's not open to the conversation. According to the sources, she has attempted to fly to Wyoming twice, but he has declined to see her.
TMZ reported that Kim has been concerned about Kanye since early July when he went to the Dominican Republic. A source claimed that her worries led her to fly there and she knew something was off.
Since she had to get back to the kids, Kim's trip to the Dominican Republic was a brief one. After the trip, Kanye flew to South Carolina for his rally without giving a heads-up to Kim, an insider claimed.
Earlier this week, Kim came to Kanye's defense after his Twitter rants, asking for “compassion.” She wrote on Instagram, “As many of you know, Kanye has bi-polar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand. I've never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye's right to privacy when it comes to his health. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health."
Kim went on, “I understand Kanye is subject to criticism because he is a public figure and his actions at time can cause strong opinions and emotions. He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bi-polar disorder. Those who are close with Kanye know his heart and understand his words sometimes do not align with his intentions."
The night before Kim released her statement, Kanye claimed that he's been looking to end their marriage for two years. He wrote said in a now-deleted tweet, “I've been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the Warldolf for 'prison reform.' Meek is my man and was respectful That's my dog Kim was out of line I'm worth 5 billion dollars and more than that through Christ But ya'll ain't listen to MJ and now ya'll believe them???"
Earlier this week, he claimed — while referencing his recent comments about almost aborting daughter North — that Kim “was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughters life yesterday.”
"Everybody knows the movie get out is about me,” West added about the 2017 horror film by Jordan Peele, adding a racial element to his attacks on his wife and her family.
“I put my life on my God that North's mom would never photograph her doing playboy and that's on God," he continued. "I'm at the ranch... come and get me."
Kim has reportedly “been trying to get Kanye help for weeks.” A source told People magazine, “Kim's family is around to support her as always. And they love Kanye. They want him to be healthy. They are all trying to figure out how to help Kanye. They are in contact with medical professionals for guidance."
