Christina Ricci Files for Divorce from James Heerdegen Following Domestic Battery Call

Actress Christina Ricci and husband James Heerdegen are headed for divorce after seven years of marriage, TMZ reports.
The news comes after she called the police to report a domestic dispute with Heerdegen last week.
Us Weekly claims officers responded to a “domestic battery radio call” at Ricci's Woodland Hills home at 9:20 a.m. on June 25. Christina alleges James spit on her, according to TMZ. Nobody was arrested at the scene.

Christina filed for divorce on Thursday at L.A. County Superior Court. The “Addams Family” star is now citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce, and asking for sole legal and physical custody of their son Freddie, 5.
Ricci and Heerdegen wed in Manhattan in October 2013 after meeting on the set of “Pan Am” in 2011.
