‘OITNB’ Star Taylor Schilling Goes Public with Her GF Emily Ritz
On Sunday, “Orange Is the New Black” star Taylor Schilling, 35, confirmed rumors about her dating life.
In honor of Pride weekend, Schilling reposted a pic of herself cuddling up to musician Emily Ritz on her Instagram Story.
Schilling posted six red heart emojis in response to Emily's post, which read, “I couldn't be more proud to be by your side @tayjschilling, Happy Pride!”
According to JustJared.com, the pair met through mutual friends and their relationship became more romantic late last year.

Just a few months ago, a source claimed that Schilling was not in a mood to date. They told RadarOnline.com, “Taylor's incredibly popular with tons of projects in the pipeline and invites up the wazoo, but when anyone asks her out on a date or to join the party, she makes excuses and begs off.”
“No one can understand it because she's a real doll and charms people left and right, but with 'Orange Is the New Black' over, Taylor's wants an extended period of time to herself,” the insider went on. “This is the first time in a long time she's been able to enjoy the fruits of her labor and she just wants to be alone, shop, bake cookies and read. She's very down to earth and doesn't get what the fuss is about.”
Since achieving fame with “Orange Is the New Black,” Schilling has taken a more private approach to her love life. In 2017, she told Evening Standard magazine, “I've had very serious relationships with lots of people, and I'm a very expansive human. There's no part of me that can be put under a label. I really don't fit into a box — that's too reductive. I've had wonderful relationships. I've had a lot of love, and I don't have any qualms about where it comes from.”
The year before, Schilling discussed the public's fascination with her love life, telling People magazine, “It's so weird. It's so out of thin air.”
She added, “If I was in a relationship I was happy with, I'd love to talk about it. But I don't like to date. It takes a lot for me to be into somebody. By default I'm a monogamist. I want a partner in crime.”
Years ago, Schilling was romantically linked to “Portlandia” star Carrie Brownstein. Of the reports, she told the outlet, “I have absolutely nothing to hide.”
