Sex Secrets! Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos Talk 'Experimentation and Fun' in the Bedroom

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, both 49, have been married for 24 years, but how do they manage to keep it hot all these years?

During a chat on SirusXM's “Quarantined with Bruce, the couple dished on their healthy sex life. Ripa told host Bruce Bozzi, “I think we found each other at the right time in our lives. We were really young, not that that's the right time in somebody's life, but we were really like, pliable, right? Like we were pliable to each other. We really, like, learned — we learned each other well and so with that comes a certain level of comfort and confidence and experimentation and just fun like we have fun.”

Mark added that Kelly “checks off all the boxes for [him].”

As for the longest they have gone without having sex, it was seven months when Mark was in Australia. Kelly did manage to visit him during his time away.

When Kelly asked Mark about the longest stretch he's gone without sex, he replied, “seventeen and a half years.” He joked that he's “been on the ride” since dating Kelly.

The couple were also joined on the show by Andy Cohen, who revealed that he hasn't had sex since his coronavirus diagnosis. He said, “This is the longest I've gone since college right now.”

Ripa and Consuelos have been open about their sex lives for years. In 2017, Ripa put Consuelos on the spot, joking that he doesn't like to play nice after sex. On “Live! With Kelly,” she said, “When there's special, married-couple time in our house — do you know what I'm talking about? Because there's kids watching, so I'm just going to say let's call it 'special, grown-up time.'”

She elaborated, "He's immediately mean to me afterwards, and I don't like that. I think it's bizarre. He becomes short with me. Like, irritated."

Mark took everything in stride and laughed it off when Kelly said, "I'm like, 'Oh, now you're irritated? You were so loving three minutes ago!'”
