FOX Sports Team Terry Bradshaw, Rob Gronkowski & Howie Long Remember Kobe Bryant
The loss of the sports icon Kobe Bryant is being felt across the world including, including on the site of Super Bowl LIV in Miami. “Extra's” Jenn Lahmers was with the FOX Sports team ahead of the big game as they reflected on the loss of the basketball great.
Terry Bradshaw told Jenn, “Wasn't that tragic? Made me sick to my stomach.”
Howie Long said he was shocked to hear the news that Kobe and his daughter had passed away. “I know the relationship he had with his daughter was so special, being a part of her young athletic career and wanting to watch that evolve and grow," he said. "Wanting to be a great athlete, you need to make sacrifices in your life. The people in your life have to make sacrifices, this was the time for him to be with his family, it's unfortunate… the loss is unique because it reverberates.”
Rob Gronkowski remembered the first time he met Kobe, saying, “I was front row at the Celtics game and he came running by and he was like, 'Gronk, Gronk!' I was like 23 years old, this was like six years ago, my eyes lit up and my dad was next to me and I was like, 'Dad, Kobe just said my name!' It put a big smile on my face.”
