Alec Baldwin Reveals His Weight-Loss Secrets, Plus: Hilaria’s Response to His ‘Fallon’ Appearance

Alec Baldwin is behind the camera in the new gritty cop drama “Crown Vic.”

“Extra's” Hilaria Baldwin sat down with her husband and his “Crown Vic” stars Thomas Jane, Josh Hopkins, David Krumholtz and Greg Bello. The film centers around one memorable night in the life of LAPD officer Ray Mandel, played by Jane, who hunts down two cop killers on the loose.

Baldwin, a producer on the movie, explained, “My job was to get the movie made whether I was in it or not.”

He added about the cast, “There is great acting in this movie, and everyone is perfect for the parts they play.”

The actors worked with the LAPD to get into character. Thomas went on ride-alongs, saying, “Gave me a new respect… Every night is somebody's worst of their life, and these cops get to experience that every night.”

Josh also did the same thing, adding, “It was eventful as well… It was amazing.”

While promoting the movie, Baldwin recently dropped his pants to show off his recent weight loss on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

Hilaria was at the show with their kids, but did not realize what he had done. When she mentioned that he dropped his pants on the show, Alec responded, “Of course, what does this have to do with 'Crown Vic?'” Hilaria quipped, “This is 'Extra,' we look at the whole package.” Alec smiled, saying, “No pun intended.”

As for his diet secrets, Alec revealed, “I started juicing in the morning — I don't eat breakfast. I wanted to lose weight, I was pre-diabetic, and I didn't want to shoot insulin… Green juices, cashew milk… Trying to eliminate sugar as much as possible.”

Baldwin is doing some intermittent fasting, too, with Hilaria noting, “You just know over those hours when he is hungry, stay away — hangry.”

Alec then took over as the interviewer, switching seats with Hilaria. The couple, already the parents of Carmen, 6, Rafael, 4, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo, 17 months, are expecting their fifth child after experiencing a miscarriage in April. When he commented that she's having another baby, Hilaria joked, “This is baby number 20.”
