Jennifer Lawrence & Cooke Maroney’s Honeymoon Location Revealed
Weeks after they exchanged vows, actress Jennifer Lawrence and art gallerist Cooke Maroney are on their honeymoon!
People reports the pair are enjoying each other's company at the exclusive Nihi Sumba Resort in Indonesia.
According to the outlet, Jennifer and Cooke went horseback riding and explored nearby Sumbanese villages while staying at resort owner Chris Burch's home, which is also on site.
The residence, also known as the Raja Mandaka, has its own pool and gorgeous views of the ocean.
Christian Bale reportedly stayed at the same residence last year.
Why does the resort stand out? The resort's website states, “At Nihi Sumba, we build itineraries that transcend a traditional vacation experience. We foster creativity and passion in our guests, helping them unplug from their hyper connected lives and reconnect with earth and community. Each experience is singular, custom. Made to fit each guest differently. The days are yours, let us help you design your adventure."
In October, Jennifer and Cooke tied the knot at the Belcourt of Newport in Rhode Island Saturday, before approximately 150 guests. The estate was modeled after King Louis XIII's Versailles hunting lodge.
Stars on hand included Kris Jenner, Adele, Emma Stone, Ashley Olsen and Amy Schumer.
Jennifer Lawrence & Cooke Maroney Are Married
View StoryAfter the wedding ceremony, the couple partied the night away at the reception, where guests enjoyed offerings from Boston's Baddest Food Truck and Maine-ly Lobstah. A source told People magazine, “It was an all-night party. Jen and Cooke where the last people to leave at 5:30 a.m. They waited until all the guests were gone so they could personally say goodbye. When they left, Jen looked happy, but also a bit tired. She also looked stunning in a jeweled dress.”
Before her big day, Jennifer opened up about their relationship, telling Catt Sadler, “I definitely wasn't at a place where I was like, 'I'm ready to get married.' I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully and, you know, he's my best friend. I feel very honored to become a Maroney.”
Jennifer and the NYU alum, who studied art history, were reportedly introduced by one of her friends.
Jennifer and Cooke were first linked in June last year. While they did their best to be private about their romance, an "Extra" source revealed that Cooke was telling his friends after meeting Lawrence that "she was the one."
