Adele Files for Divorce from Simon Konecki

It's over: Adele, 31, has filed for divorce from husband Simon Konecki, 45.
TMZ reports the singer filed the documents on Thursday in Los Angeles.
The couple, who have a 6-year-old son named Angelo, released a joint statement via their reps to the Associated Press in April announcing their separation.
“Adele and her partner have separated,” the statement said. “They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”
Afterward, she posted a meme of herself on Instagram. The post had two photos, one of her crying and the other of her singing on “Carpool Karaoke” with James Corden.
The meme said it all: “When you catch yourself in your feelings then you remember who you are.”
The pair have been very private about their relationship. They reportedly started dating in 2011, marrying in 2016. It is unknown whether the couple signed a prenup.
The U.K.'s Sunday Times estimates her worth at around $182 million. The couple reportedly has homes in Beverly Hills, Kensington, and Brighton.
Konecki works in the nonprofit sector; the founder of Life Water and its charity drop4drop, he also oversees Mammoth Water Resources.
The Mail on Sunday reports that Adele signed over a Los Angeles property associated with Mammoth to Konecki prior to announcing their separation.
It is believed that Adele is working on new music. Could her new songs be inspired by their split? We'll have to wait and see, but her songs tend to be based on her past experiences with heartbreak and relationships. It's been four years since she released her last album, “25,” which was the biggest-selling music release of both 2015 and 2016.
