Moving In or Out? Anthony Weiner Spotted at Huma Abedin’s Apartment
Months after his release from federal prison, disgraced politician Anthony Weiner was seen near his wife Huma Abedin's NYC apartment.
Over the weekend, Weiner was seen with luggage, boxes, and suitcases outside her apartment building in photos obtained by DailyMail.com. According to the outlet, the 54-year-old didn't use any help, using a trolley to cart his belongings.
While DailyMail.com reports that he was moving back in with his estranged wife, sources tell People magazine he was moving out.
The insider said, “They are most certainly not back together… Those were not boxes going in. They were old boxes going out.”
Weiner was seen enjoying a brunch date with a mystery brunette in NYC last month. According to Page Six, Weiner “appeared friendly and at ease with his mystery date inside a packed Westville,” even “leaning in close to talk face-to-face.”
Huma, a top aide to Hillary Clinton, wed Anthony in 2010. She filed for divorce in May 2017, but withdrew the petition in January to seek a settlement. The couple, who have a 7-year-old son, are still hashing out the details of the split.
Weiner resigned from the U.S. House of Representatives in 2011 over a sexting scandal, enduring another sexting scandal in 2013.
In May 2017, Weiner pleaded guilty to sending explicit messages and photos to a 15-year-old girl and was sentenced to 21 months in prison. He began serving time in November 2017 and was released in May 2019 on good behavior. He was originally scheduled to get out in August 2019.
