Gretchen Rossi & Slade Smiley Welcome Baby Girl

Former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Gretchen Rossi, 40, and husband Slade Smiley, 45, welcomed a baby girl today.

A rep tells Us Weekly that Rossi checked in to an Orange County hospital at 9 a.m. for a C-section, adding, “Skylar Grey is here. They are doing well.”

The day before the surgery, Gretchen took to Instagram Stories and showed off her baby bump at 39 weeks. She told followers, “I'm going to miss this bump.”

She added, “Skylar, I'm going to meet you tomorrow… it has been such an honor carrying you.” Rossi continued posting on social media, even showing off her favorites from her hospital bag around 1:30 a.m.

She then said she went to bed around 3 a.m., and then got up at 4:45 a.m. to get her makeup done! Gretchen posted from her hospital bed ahead of the C-section, smiling at the camera in a blue hairnet, with Slade by her side.

It has been a long journey for Gretchen and Slade, who began IVF treatments four years ago. They announced the pregnancy in December on an episode of “The Doctors.” At the time, she said, “These symptoms, I gotta tell you. Man, like I swear, they lie to you about morning sickness. It's all day sickness.”

In May, the couple celebrated Skylar with a perfectly pink baby shower. The décor included a pink carpet, pink balloons by the Balloon Box, and gorgeous pink-and-white bouquets and garlands by Glamour Flower Boutique.

The party also featured touches of gold, including a “Skylar Grey” sign on the wall and “Baby Smiley” sign on the floor. A six-tiered, white tower cake was adorned with flowers and gold accents as well as an “S” for "Skylar."
