Melissa McCarthy Explains Her Comfy Track Suit at Vanity Fair Oscars Party
Best Actress nominee Melissa McCarthy made quite a fashion statement at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, following the 91st Annual Academy Awards.
“Extra's” Terri Seymour spoke with Melissa, who opted for comfort, wearing a matching black Adidas track suit with husband Ben Falcone. She shared, “I said, 'Why don't we do this?' and Ben was game for it and I was like, 'I'm not going to fight it.'”
McCarthy even had on comfy tennis shoes. When Terri mentioned that people will “be so jealous” of her look, Melissa smiled.
Melissa also dished on the outrageous outfit she wore to present the Oscar for Best Costume Design, an over-the-top look honoring the film “The Favourite.” She admitted that she struggled to open the envelope, saying, “That bunny gave me some problems.”
McCarthy was in the audience when Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper sang “Shallow,” with many calling it the best moment of the night. Melissa weighed in, commenting, “It looked like a real friendship.”
As for her take on the Oscars going without a host this year, Melissa said she is “always up for a host,” but she did think that the show worked well nonetheless.
When asked about Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph opening the show, Melissa gushed, “Those ladies are always perfect.”
