Anna Kendrick Thanks Doctors & Nurses Who Treated Her for Kidney Stones
Actress Anna Kendrick suffered a painful health scare with kidney stones!
On Friday, Kendrick thanked the medical team who treated her in Atlanta. Along with naming the staff, she tweeted, “I need to give a shout out to the Atlanta doctors and nurses who helped me through my first experience with kidney stones.”
She added, “I was worried that my pain would turn out to be “nothing serious” or something that I should have been able to fight through. I'm so grateful to these women. Even if we only interacted for a moment, know that the attention and kindness you give your patients is so appreciated.”
Anna also showed some love for a member of the staff, who “laughed at my tired ass 'If I die, clear my search history' joke.”
While the 33-year-old didn't reveal if she had to undergo surgery, she did note that she “went under.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, kidney stones can form when urine is concentrated. They can also be caused by infection, dehydration, diet, or heredity. If the stones are detected early on, patients may only need water and pain medication before passing the stone. In more severe cases, surgery may be required if the stones are stuck in the urinary tract.
