Hugh Jackman Jokes: Ryan Reynolds Calls 'Constantly' to Join Him on Tour
Hugh Jackman is heading on his very first world tour!
“Extra's” AJ Calloway spoke with Hugh about his new venture, “The Man. The Music. The Show,” and his mock rivalry with Ryan Reynolds.
Ryan Reynolds recently told Ellen DeGeneres he is dead set on making a Deadpool and Wolverine movie. Hugh noted that Ryan constantly contacts him, saying, “If [Ryan] has his way, it's literally every day.” He joked, “I answer every fourth day because it would be embarrassing if I never answered him.”
When AJ commented that “persistence is key,” Hugh looked at the camera, responding “No!” before laughing.
Hugh revealed that Ryan has even offered to make a guest appearance on his tour, adding, “He's like, 'I've been working on my dancing.' I'm like, 'Dude!'”
So who does Hugh want to join him on tour? He answered, “I'm asking everybody I want, even crazy asks.” He went on to say, “I'd love P!nk to come with Willow and sing 'A Million Dreams,' I'd love Sting to come, I would love Janelle Monáe, I would love Audra McDonald to come, I would love Kelly Clarkson — there's so many people that I would love to come.”
Hugh, who has had an impressive career in theater, is promising a good time, sharing, “They're going to get stuff from 'Les Miz,' they're going to get stuff from 'Greatest Showman,' 'Boy From Oz'… maybe even 'Beauty and the Beast' — I'm not sure yet.”
Jackman is also promoting his latest movie, “The Front Runner," of which he says he is “really proud."
When asked if he pays attention to Oscar buzz, the 50-year-old said, “I'm not going to lie and say I'm above it or I don't care… I don't expect it, I don't do jobs for it.”
