Over the past few months, McClellan had been receiving treatment at a California hospital for stage 4 endometrial cancer.
Earlier this year, a GoFundMe page was created to help fund her cancer treatments. The page noted that McClellan's cancer had spread to her bladder, colon, and intestines.
McClellan, who was coached by Christina Aguilera, was the third runner-up in the first season, which was won by Javier Colon.
