‘America’s Got Talent’ Winner Neal E. Boyd Dead at 42
“America's Got Talent” 2008 winner Neal E. Boyd has passed away at the age of 42.
TMZ reports that Boyd died from heart failure at his mother's home in Missouri on Sunday.
According to E! News, Boyd's mother found him unresponsive and called for help. He was pronounced dead after EMS arrived. He has been cremated.
No autopsy was done, according to the county coroner. The opera singer suffered from a health condition related to his heart. He also suffered from liver disease and kidney failure.
Just a year before his passing, Boyd and his mother, Esther, were in a major car accident after he blacked out behind the wheel. He posted a video a month after the accident to let his fans know he faced extensive physical therapy as part of his recuperation.
After hearing about his death, former "America's Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan tweeted, "Very sad to hear that Neal Boyd, Season 3 winner of @AGT, has died at 42 from heart failure. Lovely guy with a wonderful voice. RIP."
