Spoiler Alert! George Clooney Jokes About the Demise of Danny Ocean in ‘Ocean’s 8’
Last night, “Extra's” Tanika Ray caught up with George and Amal Clooney at the American Film Institute's 46th Life Achievement Award Gala at Hollywood's Dolby Theater, where he was being honored.
Having starred in the “Oceans” movie trilogy as the charming con artist Danny Ocean, has George seen “Ocean's 8,” which features an all-female cast, led by Sandra Bullock?
George shared, “I haven't seen it yet. I can't wait to see it. I hope it's a big hit. I hear they kill me! Spoiler alert, I'm dead! I found out late. That's okay, I'm never really dead on those shows.”
As for the prestigious AFI honor, Tanika told George she thought he was way too young to win such an award. George joked, “Well, actually, I'm 83 years old so this is working out for me. If you tell people you're older, they compliment you.”
The Academy Award-winning actor and producer did get serious for a moment, saying, “It's exciting. If you're an actor, this is one of the great moments in your life.”
Amal gushed, “He's definitely still got a long way to go, but I'm so proud of him. It's amazing that we're celebrating that he's been able to do so much at such a young age. I know he still has big plans.”
“AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to George Clooney,” sponsored by Audi, airs June 21 on TNT.
