Matt Damon Reacts to Ben Affleck’s Real Back Tattoo

Days after Ben Affleck flashed his real, massive back tattoo in Hawaii, his best friend is weighing in on the ink!

For years, Affleck claimed it was “fake for a movie,” but apparently it's not. On Thursday, Matt Damon shared his reaction during an appearance on “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah,” saying, “It's not one man's job to tell another man what he can do to his back.”

Along with seeing the colorful tattoo of a phoenix taking flight, Damon said, “I support him in all of his artistic expression.”

Over the years, Affleck's exes Jennifer Garner and Jennifer Lopez have also shared their opinion on his tat. In a 2016 interview with Vanity Fair, Garner said, “You know what we would say in my hometown about that? 'Bless his heart.'”

Lopez was not a fan of the tatoo, telling Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live” earlier that year, “It's awful! What are you doing? His tattoos always have too many colors, they shouldn't be so colorful. They should be cooler.”

Affleck has multiple tattoos, including a dolphin on his right hip, barb wire across his right bicep, and some initials on his shoulder blade. A few years ago, he told “Extra's” Mario Lopez, “I actually do have a number of tattoos… but I try to have them in places where you don't have to do a lot of cover-up… they get sort of addictive, tattoos, after a while.”
