Sharon Stone & Son Roan, 17, Talk Golden Globes… and Meeting Tonya Harding!
“Extra's” Renee Bargh and Adam Glassman caught up with Sharon Stone and her son Roan at the 75th Annual Golden Globes.
Stone has long been an activist, and she told, “Extra's” Renee Bargh and Adam Glassman she was proud to support #TIMESUP. “I'm so proud of Reese and Eva for what they've done, the way they have organized everybody, and for the way they put the attention to raising money for a legal fund, because that's what really needed.”
She continued, “Women who need a voice can have it, disenfranchised people can have legal aid — I think that's so key — and that we can have a more diverse voice in our business is important. What we do is discuss humanity, that's our business, so it's our business to pay attention, so I like that.” She said she is hopeful that change is happening. “I feel that this is happening and it's happening in a beautiful way. Women are bringing compassion and empathy into the business of what we do.”
Her son is also happy to be there to see the change, saying, “Definitely nice to see everyone here to support this.” He said he does realize how cool his mom is, and Sharon added that they were having a fun mother-son date, “We met some pretty interesting people on the way in. We've had some fun.”
She told Renee and Adam, “We just met Tonya Harding, which was amazing. She was nervous and I was like, 'Honey, you're the kind of champion they make movies about.'”
