Seth Meyers Reveals How the Golden Globes Will Tackle Sexual Harassment
The countdown is on! In just three days, TV and movie stars will collide at the Golden Globes, which is being hosted by Seth Meyers.
On Thursday, “Extra's” Renee Bargh spoke with the “Late Night with Seth Meyers” host as he got ready for the star-studded show. Though he's “feeling well” about the show, Seth admitted he is nervous, saying, “These things are nerve-racking — that's one of the reasons you're drawn to them.”
As for how he is prepping, Meyers revealed, “Got a really strong writing staff and it is just getting ready and trying to write as many jokes as possible.”
Meyers confirmed the show program will touch on sexual harassment in Hollywood, a topic that has dominated the headlines this past year. He pointed out, “We are definitely going to address it. We're going to try and find the right tone. We have a diverse writing staff of people that are going to voice how they feel about everything, we have talked about it on our show, so we feel like have at least have some reps in dealing with it. Hopefully it will go the best it can go.”
His wife Alexi Ashe is also helping him navigate the situation since she “does that for a living.” He added, “She deals with victims of abuse, and so I have been lucky to have her as a resource, not just every year I've known her, but the last few months talking about stuff like this, so she will make sure we get the tone right.”

“Expressing solidarity right now is a really strong message for Hollywood... Maybe things will be different going into this next year, and solidarity is a great way to get that message across,” Seth emphasized.
