Victoria Arlen Suffered Nerve-Racking Injury Before ‘DWTS’ Argentine Tango Performance
TV personality Victoria Arlen suffered a painful injury on Monday, just hours before she was set to perform on “Dancing with the Stars.”
Arlen, who was diagnosed with a neurological condition and autoimmune disease in her teens, was rehearsing her Argentine tango with pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy when she suffered a spasm on the right side of her body. Watch!
After completing the dance, Arlen was hunched over in pain, which led Val to carry her to the chairs near the dance floor. In a video, obtained by "Extra," she said, “My whole right just gave out.” Val comforted her, saying, “You're okay, baby… Breathe breathe, relax.”
On the show, Victoria told co-host Tom Bergeron, “I definitely didn't feel as strong as I felt in dress before the spasm, but kind of overcoming that… getting out of that scared mindset really helped me kind of go out there. It wasn't as good as it could have been, but given the circumstances, I'm very happy with it.”
Victoria and Val scored a 24/30 for the dance. “Extra" caught up with Victoria, who admitted, “Today was the toughest day of all the weeks.”
Lindsey Stirling recently suffered a rib injury, but is taking measures to take care of herself. She revealed to us, “It's a full-time job, going to acupuncture, specialists, doctors, icing, everything this week.”
