Health Scare! Why Sean Hayes Went to the E.R.

“Will & Grace” actor Sean Hayes made an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” where he opened up about his health.

A few weeks ago, Hayes was forced to cancel his appearance on the show, but what happened? He told Ellen, "I went to bed at night and all of a sudden I felt this excruciating pain in my stomach. So I went to the ER... and thank God I did. I had a very rare thing where my small intestine burst open, and it was poisoning my body.”

Doctors were able to make the pain subside with surgery. He explained that they “clipped off the bad part and put it back together with, like, a chip clip.” He added, "And they put you on so many drugs. You're like, high out of your mind.”

Despite what he went through, Hayes though he would be able to attend the taping and even spoke to her producer on the phone. He revealed, "Scotty, my husband, was in the room with me. I hung up the phone and he was like, 'What's wrong with you? You can't do the Ellen show on Monday. Are you high?' And I'm like, 'Yeah, I'm really high. Are you high?'”

During the taping, Sean also showed a pic of himself in his hospital gown. Watch!
