Suicide Fears: Harvey Weinstein’s Daughter Calls 911 Over His Behavior
One day after his wife Georgina Chapman left him, Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein was involved in a family dispute which reportedly required a response by authorities.
TMZ reports that Weinstein's daughter Remy called 911, allegedly telling the dispatcher that her father was "suicidal and depressed” on Wednesday morning.
According to the site, Harvey was heard yelling to Remy, “You're making it worse,” before hopping into a black SUV. Watch!
Once law enforcement arrived, Weinstein had already left Remy's Los Angeles home after they reportedly got into a heated argument in front of the home. She denied making any suicidal statement, and emphasized that it was just a family dispute.
LAPD did not confirm it was his daughter, but said they reported to an L.A. neighborhood for “a family disturbance.” The LAPD told “Extra” in the afternoon, “It was a family dispute” with “no evidence of a crime.”
Weinstein is reportedly planning to fly to a European rehab center later today. He's has been accused of sexual harassment by multiple women, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Ashley Judd, and Angelina Jolie. At least one woman has accused him of rape.
Weinstein spokeswoman Sallie Hofmeister told the Times in a statement, “Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein. Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances. He will not be available for further comments, as he is taking the time to focus on his family, on getting counseling and rebuilding his life.”
