Jesse Williams Hits Back at Cheating Rumors After Split with Aryn Drake-Lee

“Grey's Anatomy” actor Jesse Williams is opening up on the end of his marriage to real estate broker Aryn Drake-Lee.

Williams makes an appearance in JAY-Z's short film “Footnotes” for his latest album "4:44,” denying reports that he cheated on his wife of four years. Though he doesn't mention Aryn by name, Jesse said, "I was in a relationship 13 years, 13 real years, not five years, not seven years – 13 years. All of a sudden motherf**kers are writing think pieces that I somehow threw a 13-year relationship.”

“Like, the most painful experience I've had in my life, like, with a person I've loved with all of my heart — that I threw a person and my family in the trash because a girl I work with is cute,” he added.

Jesse filed for divorce in April and is currently in a custody battle with Drake-Lee over their two children, Sadie, 3, and Maceo, 2. TMZ reports that Williams is requesting more time with the kids, arguing that he is only allowed to see them a few hours a day. He is asking the judge to issue a formal custody agreement.

In court documents obtained by E! News, Jesse claims, "Aryn restricts my time with the children and decides when, and for how long I may have them. She has rejected, without any reason, each and every request I have made to have the children sleepover at my residence. On the few days that I have the children, Aryn has insisted that my time with the children be limited during the week to approximately two and half hours per day, despite my requests for more time, including overnights with the children. I am therefore requesting a court order for a joint physical custody parenting plan…”

In response to the allegations, Aryn's lawyer said, "Protecting the privacy and well-being of their children is of paramount importance to Aryn Drake-Lee Williams. It is unfortunate that Mr. Williams has chosen to draw public attention to this difficult time and transition for their family. Aryn is solely interested in the best interests of their children, supporting a healthy relationship with both parents, and protecting the children's privacy. Therefore, she will not comment any further on Mr. Williams' unilateral and unfortunate public allegations."

Since the split, rumors have been swirling that Jesse is dating Minka Kelly. The two were seen enjoying a movie together in West Hollywood on Monday night in a photo obtained by TMZ. A source confirmed the reports, telling People magazine, "They're having a good time together."

Back in January, they posted a pic together on social media. At the time, they were shooting a project in Paris.
