'Babe' Star James Cromwell, 77, Sentenced to Jail

James Cromwell, the esteemed 77-year-old actor perhaps best known for his turn in the family classic "Babe," has been sentenced to seven days in jail for refusing to pay a $375 that resulted from his arrest at a recent protest.
People magazine reports Cromwell was arrested in Wawayanda, New York, where he and five other protesters were found guilty of obstructing traffic after a sit-in at the site of a proposed Competitive Power Ventures power plant.
Arguing that the plant would contribute to climate change, and refusing to pay his fine, Cromwell will do his time in Orange County Jail in California.
