Why Aaron Hernandez’s Fiancée Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez Questions His Suicide
Aaron Hernandez's fiancée Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez is opening up on his death in an exclusive interview on “Dr. Phil.”
Authorities ruled it a suicide, but Shayanna has her doubts! She spoke to Aaron one day before he was found dead in his prison cell. Of their last conversation, she said, "I just know that the feedback I was getting from our last talk had nothing to do with any suicidal thoughts. I felt like we were looking so bright. We were going up a ladder to a positive direction.”
When she was notified of his death, Shayanna didn't believe it. She explained, "I thought it was a hoax, that this was some cruel person playing a joke on me.”
After his death, a letter to Shayanna was found, but she questions the authenticity. She pointed out, "I did see that it was addressed to Shay instead of, you know, babe or bae, the way he would refer me as — that was a little odd to me. But as far as the content, he seemed to be his loving self.”
Of the handwriting on the note, Shayanna commented that it "was similar, but I feel like, again, you have nothing but time in there, so I feel like it's easily duplicated — or could be.”
The interview, which is set to air Monday and Tuesday, also touches on the rumors that Aaron was gay. Watch a preview.
