On Monday, fitness guru Richard Simmons was taken to the hospital for “severe indigestion.”
His rep Michael Catalano told ABC News, "Richard Simmons was hospitalized on Monday at an undisclosed location in California. After a few days of battling severe indigestion and discomfort while eating, we agreed it was best for him to seek treatment.”
"He's already feeling better and is expected to make a full recovery,” the rep elaborated.
Just before his hospitalization, Simmons signed a new business deal for "merchandising, endorsements and licensing opportunities,” according to Catalano.
Simmons has made headlines for his reclusive lifestyle over the years. His mysterious disappearance from the spotlight was recently documented in a gone-viral podcast, "Missing Richard Simmons.”
Last month, the LAPD made a welfare check on Simmons and determined that he was “perfectly fine," according to TMZ.
