Trump & Schwarzenegger Go to War on Twitter — Bad Ratings, Bad Blood
When Arnold Schwarzenegger said Friday he would not return to "The New Celebrity Apprentice" if asked because President Trump's name killed viewer interest, it seemed unlikely Trump would let that slide.
Now, Trump has tweeted his two cents, writing, "Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't voluntarily leaving the Apprentice he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me. Sad end to great show."

Variety reports Schwarzenegger's tweet back was, "You should think about hiring a new joke writer and a fact checker."
Trump hosted the show from 2004 until he embarked on a campaign for president. Schwarzenegger hosted Season 15, but Trump was still listed as an executive producer on the show.
The show has not been renewed by NBC.
It was a busy time on Twitter for the President — he also tweeted an unfounded accusation that President Obama tapped Trump's phones in Trump Tower "just before the victory," referring to it, in all caps, as, "A NEW LOW!"
