Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom's Shocking Split — What Went Wrong?
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have called it quits after a year of dating!
The stars' reps released a joint statement to People magazine, saying, "Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.”
A day before the split was announced, Orlando posted a pic of himself with Katy's dog with the caption, “a mighty heart.” Katy liked the photo on Instagram.

The two were last spotted together on Sunday at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, where they did not interact much with each other. A source told People magazine, "Katy didn't spend much time with Orlando. They got together for a photo, but that was about it.”
Last week, rumors were swirling that there was trouble in paradise when Orlando was spotted whispering in a woman's ear at the Global Green Oscar party at TAO in Los Angeles. The brunette in question is the daughter of Global Green president Les McCabe. The photos were obtained by DailyMail.com.
Just last month, Katy threw a party for Orlando's 40th birthday, even surprising him with a visit from his mom.
The two started dating after they met at a Golden Globes party last year. Engagement rumors were constantly part of Katy and Orlando's year of romance. A pal said, "[Bloom] would love to settle down with Katy and have more kids.”
Orlando and Katy's friends are also weighing in on their split. One pal of the actor's told People, "There was nothing dramatic or over-the-top. Katy's going through a lot of changes for her new music — both physically and emotionally — and this was a part of that... it wasn't as serious as everyone was making it out to be."
Another friend of Katy's chimed in, saying, "It was never really supposed to be serious between them. When it first started, she was basically like, 'This will be fun for now.' Because this wasn't something permanent, it just became time to take a break.”
