Amy Smart Welcomed First Baby Via Surrogate

Actress Amy Smart welcomed a baby last month, but is finally opening up about her use of a surrogate.
On Monday, the 40-year-old wrote on Instagram, "One month ago today, Dec. 26th our amazing beautiful daughter came into this world. Feeling so grateful to have her in my arms. After years of fertility struggles I give thanks today to our kind, loving surrogate for carrying her.”

In December, Smart and husband Carter Oosterhouse made a surprising baby announcement. She posted a pic of herself and Carter with their baby girl in a hospital bed, writing, "It is with great attitude and pleasure to welcome our little girl Flora to the world. What a blessed way to bring in 2017. Amen and Thank You God for this special new life!!”

Smart and Oosterhouse tied the knot in 2011 after one year of dating.
