Kim Kardashian’s Limo Driver Released — Will She Get Her Bling Back?
On Monday, 17 people were detained in relation to Kim Kardashian's Paris robbery.
Though Kim's chauffeur was brought in for questioning, he has been released without any criminal charges. His limo company UNIC Worldpass told TMZ that driver Michael Madar was taken in “for testimony purposes.” The company emphasized that neither it nor Madar had a connection with the heist.
Aside from Madar, two other people were reportedly released as the investigation continues to search for the robbers, who stole millions worth of jewelry from Kim. Her French lawyer Jean Veil said the detentions were a “nice surprise."
He added, "On the one hand, it will perhaps mean the jewels will be recovered, and on the other hand it puts an end to disgraceful speculation by some people who thought it clever to pretend this robbery was a set-up or a publicity stunt by Madame Kardashian.”
Kardashian recently broke her silence on the Paris robbery in a new promo for “Keeping Up with the Kardashians." She told her sisters Khloé and Kourtney she thought as it was happening, "They're going to shoot me in the back. There's no way out.” She went on to say, "It makes me so upset to think about it.”
