Zsa Zsa Gabor’s Official Cause of Death Revealed
Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor died at age 99 on December 18, and now her death certificate has been released.
According to the document obtained by TMZ, the former Miss Hungary of 1936 went into a coma and passed away from a heart attack.
Cardiopulmonary arrest was listed the main cause of death. Coronary artery disease and cerebral vascular disease were contributing factors, while cerebrovascular accident coma was listed as another “significant condition.”
She had been bedridden for a number of years and suffered various problems following a 2002 car accident, a stroke in 2005, a fall in 2010, and the amputation of most of her right leg in 2011.
When news broke of her passing, longtime rep Ed Lozzi said in a statement to People magazine, "I am pleased that she is finally out of her misery. For the past five years, Zsa Zsa has suffered chronic dementia, locked away in her mansion laying in a hospital bed being fed through tubes in her navel, not able to speak, see, write or hear. Nor knowing who she was or how famous she was.”
Gabor would have turned 100 in February. Her only child, Francesca Hilton, died at age 67 in 2015.
