New Details on Leonard Cohen’s Death — What Happened the Night He Died
Nearly two weeks after Leonard Cohen passed away at the age of 82, more details on his death have been revealed.
In a statement, Cohen's manager Robert Kory told Cohencentric.com, "Leonard Cohen died during his sleep following a fall in the middle of the night on November 7th. The death was sudden, unexpected, and peaceful. He is survived by his children Adam and Lorca, and his three grandchildren Cassius (Adam's son), and Viva and Lyon (Lorca's daughter and son).”
The “Hallelujah” singer died just a few weeks after releasing his new album “You Want It Darker.” At the time, his son Adam hinted it could be his last, telling New York magazine, "He's 82 and he's put on some very hard miles. He's suffered from multiple compression fractures. These are not things that heal very quickly in old folk."
Last week, Cohen was buried in Montreal. Adam shared on Facebook, "With only immediate family and a few lifelong friends present, he was lowered into the ground in an unadorned pine box, next to his mother and father."
