Hollywood Reacts to Donald Trump Winning the Presidency
Last night, Hollywood was left beyond shocked when Donald Trump won the election.
Trump was able to beat Hillary Clinton by winning the electoral votes in swing states, including Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Ohio, as well as traditionally blue states like Wisconsin.
During his gracious acceptance speech, Trump said, "I've just received a call from Secretary Clinton. She congratulated us — it's about us — on our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign. I mean, she, she fought very hard. Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country. I mean that very sincerely. Now it's time for America to bind the wounds of division. Have to get together. To all Republicans and Democrats and Independents across this nation, I say it is time for us to come together as one, united people. It's time.” Watch!
Throughout the night, Hollywood was voicing its disapproval of Trump as the future POTUS.
Lady Gaga, who was on hand at NYC's Javits Center, where Clinton had been expected to deliver a victory speech before the vote tally turned against her, tweeted, "❤️🇺🇸I want to live in a #CountryOfKindness where #LoveTrumpsHate.” Gaga also posted a pic of herself protesting Donald's presidency outside Trump Tower.

Jessica Chastain added, "The positive element from all this is that we can no longer pretend that we are free of racism & sexism. The question is, what do we do now?”
See what the rest of Hollywood had to say about Trump's win!
This is an embarrassing night for America. We've let a hatemonger lead our great nation. We've let a bully set our course. I'm devastated.

When they go low, we go high. We regroup. We listen. We double down. We bet on us. Good night.
@emmyrossum
I'm taking tonight to grieve for minorities, women, immigrants, muslims & the LGBTQ community but tomorrow I'm waking up ready to fight.
@jessetyler
G'night. Here's hoping that we wake up resolved, still believing that this country, though it meanders, will lunge toward perfection.

I want to quit life.

You ever wake up and dread going to work because your boss is an asshole but you have no choice because you need the money to survive? #USA

Go through all stages tonight.
@Lin_Manuel
You are allowed to feel however you like.
Take stock of your heart.
See you tomorrow.
We are all still here.
Hold your loved ones close tonight. Let 'em feel it. Get some sleep. Back at it tomorrow. Love has a longer wick than hate & fear.

Canada has just started building a wall.
@rickygervais
Do not sit still. Do not weep. MOVE. We are not a nation that will let HATE lead us.
