Lady Gaga Speaks Out on Taylor Kinney Split

After news broke on her split with Taylor Kinney, Lady Gaga took to Instagram to clear the air on their relationship.

She wrote, "Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break.”

Gaga continued, "We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We're just like everybody else and we really love each other.”

Gaga and Kinney's busy schedules, which caused them to spend time apart, played a huge factor in their decision to call off their engagement. A close pal to the singer told Us Weekly, "She started really writing and working on her album and he went back to work in Chicago. They kept going weeks without seeing each other.”

Another source added, “It's really sad and [Gaga's] really torn up. They thought they'd be together forever. Distance was a big part of it.”
