Is Richard Simmons Transitioning?

UPDATE: Simmons' rep is denying reports he is transitioning, telling Daily News, "Our official comment is complete, absolute denial... He has the right to live his life, and if he chooses to do so in private for a couple of years, that's his right to do."
Rumors are swirling that say fitness guru Richard Simmons is now living life as a woman, according to National Enquirer.
The publication claims that over the past two years Simmons has undergone a number of invasive surgeries to transform himself into a woman, including breast implants and hormone therapy.
A close pal told National Enquirer, which features a mock-up photo of Simmons as a woman on its latest cover, "[This is] not just in drag. This is Richard dressed as a softly spoken woman named Fiona!"

The claims come just days after Simmons was sent to the hospital for dehydration. In a statement, he said, "Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and concern after hearing I was in the hospital. I was dehydrated and needed some fluids and now I am feeling great!”
Richard has been staying out of the spotlight for the last few years, and many believe he was captive in his own home, which he denied. He told “Today” in March, "No one is holding me in my house as a hostage. I do what I want to do as I've always done.”
