'Purple Rain' Returning to Theaters in Honor of Prince

Starting today, Prince's acclaimed 1984 film "Purple Rain" will screen in 87 AMC theaters and 80 Carmike theaters in honor of the Purple One's passing.
Us Weekly reports that the chains (which are merging soon) will feature screenings of the film through Thursday, April 27. Check for participating theaters here.
"Purple Rain" was Prince's movie debut and his only successful foray into film. He won the Oscar for Best Original Song Score, beating out "The Muppets Take Manhattan" and songwriter Kris Kristofferson. Watch Prince accept his Oscar!
