Is Henry Cavill Dating a Teenager?

On Sunday, Henry Cavill and girlfriend Tara King made their red-carpet debut as a couple, attending the Vanity Fair Oscar Party together after he attended the Academy Awards solo.

Cavill, 32, and King, 19, have reportedly been dating since fall of last year.

Though there is a 13-year difference between the “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” actor and the Bristol University student, they are not letting it become a hindrance in their relationship. He recently told Elle UK, “People say, 'Age is just a number.' A lot of times it's not just a number. It's actually a real and true sign of someone's maturity, but in this case, she's fantastic.”

Despite his fame, Cavill admitted that he didn't feel like Superman when he met King. "When I first met my girlfriend, I was super intimidated. I wanted to impress her. I was thinking, Don't mess this up, man. You've gotta play your cards exactly right."

Cavill also understands that people may still have a knee-jerk reaction to their age difference, even though he says they can talk about “everything.” He shared, “It's a natural reaction. But when I was 19, I was going out with a 32-year-old.”
