Jennifer Lawrence Is the Highest-Paid Oscar Nominee This Year
On Tuesday, Jennifer Lawrence, who wore Sunday Somewhere sunglasses, was spotted doing some shopping in Hollywood, just days before the Oscars.
Jennifer can afford to shop till she drops, since it was recently revealed that Lawrence is the highest-paid Oscar nominee, male of female, this year. She earned an estimated $52 million between June 2014-June 2015, thanks to the "Hunger Games” franchise, a Dior contract, and her recent film “Joy,” which has earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.
Lawrence earned more than any of the other actresses in the Best Actress category, including Cate Blanchett, Brie Larson, Saoirse Ronan, and Charlotte Rampling. None of the other actresses or even supporting actress nominees (Rooney Mara, Alicia Vikander, Kate Winslet, Rachel McAdams, and Jennifer Jason Leigh) hit the $6 million cut-off to make the Forbes list.
Sandra Bullock was the last actress to take the title in 2014, when she earned at least $51 million for “Gravity” and scored an Oscar nomination for the same movie.
