Teresa Giudice's Prison Tell-All: Strip-Searches, Sex Between Inmates, and More
Teresa Giudice spent nearly a year in prison, but she wasn't idle — her memoir "Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again" (Gallery Books) will be out February 9.
According to People magazine, the book is filled with shocking details of Giudice's stint behind bars, including the story of the first time she had to be strip-searched. Asked to take off all her clothes, squat, and cough, Giudice reportedly writes that she was so ashamed, "I wanted to die."
Giudice, nicknamed "Hollywood" while incarcerated for 15 months at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, also writes that she witnessed sex between inmates, which isn't surprising since her cell was known as "the Boom Boom Room." As for her own libido, she sent a Valentine's Day card filled with images of sexual positions to her husband, Joe. Joe's own 41-month sentence begins in March, while Teresa remains under house arrest until February 5.
In all, her stay sounded more inconvenient than nightmarish — while some inmates sold stories about her to the tabloids, others did her hair and nails and tailored her clothes, and she spent as many as six hours a day working on her fitness.
Giudice seems to be pouring lots of her energy into her book. She even recently posted a pic on Instagram taken while she personally recorded the audio version, captioning it, "I'm loving reading this book to you guys for @SimonAudio! Can't wait for you to hear #TurningtheTalbes!"
