'Power Rangers' Actor Charged in Roommate’s Murder
Ricardo Medina, best known for his roles on the “Power Rangers Wild Force” and “Power Rangers Samurai” series, has been charged with one count of murder after allegedly stabbing his roommate to death last February in the home they shared.
Medina was arrested this morning and will be arraigned on Tuesday at the Antelope Valley branch of the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Prosecutors are asking that the bail be set at $1 million.
Medina allegedly got into a heated argument with roommate Josh Sutter over Medina's girlfriend before stabbing him multiple times with a samurai sword. Media was arrested after the incident, but was released after claiming he had acted in self-defense.
If convicted, Medina could be sentenced to 26 years to life in state prison.
