Craig Strickland’s Wife Helen Remembers Their First Date at His Funeral Service
On Tuesday, Craig Strickland's widow, Helen, paid tribute to him at his funeral service, held at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas.
During her pre-taped tribute, she reflected on their first date together. She shared, "For Craig's and my first date, he took me to Mt. Sequoia, that lookout point. For a girl, that made me a little nervous at first."
She went on, "He turned and looked at me and said, 'I've come to realize that relationships are the only thing that we take with us to heaven. I love you, Craig Michael Strickland. And I love each of you, as he did.”
Helen also posted a pic of a letter she wrote to Craig, which she put into his jacket pocket before he was buried. In the letter, she wrote, "I love you with all my heart… You were my person and are the love of my earthly life.”

After the memorial service took place, Helen took to Instagram to thank fans for their ongoing support following Craig's death. His body was found a week after he went missing on a duck hunting trip in December.
